Do you want to know how I feel? There are butterflies swarming around my stomach at all times of my existence. My bones shake and my heart rate goes through the roof. My eyes swell and want to rest but they can never get enough of the sight of you. I'm helpless to your touch and I need it more than life. You put this fire in my soul and toss new logs upon it to rekindle it every night. With you, I am safe. With you, I have a home. You're the only one to call me beautiful, and really mean my soul. You believe in me. You give me strength to try. You give me hope for tomorrow in even the darkest of times. You know my every secret and you willingly fell in love with all my flaws. For you, I'll be forever grateful. You're the only thing I want. Maybe I can't put these feelings into words and direct them out my mouth; but on paper, I speak freely. The pen knows every feeling that I have every felt. So this is how I feel about you, in only a short amount of time. Most would call this love, but I say this is more than that. What I feel for you is more than words can describe.

This poem expresses how I feel about my best friend and my lover.
