On The Exit Ramp

On the exit ramp,
a man stands by the side.
He's not looking for religion,
he's not asking for a ride.
His toothless mouth half open,
raising his cardboard sign.
"Hungry" is all it says
and all the cars pass by.
Worship a homeless man in church.
Ignore one the next day.
Justify your rationale
the next time that you pray.
