Earth, she withstands our torment

She knows all, yet she keeps all

She lives and breathes with us

She moves alongside us

She is the breath of life

And the harbinger of death

Mother Earth is bleeding

And we're holding the knife,

red handed with her blood.

She cries because of us, yet we don't know

She embraces us and protects, yet we don't care

She turns and works for us, yet we don/'t see

Lost without her, where would we be?

Yet every day we fail to see

That mother earth is all we need.
