Drowning Universe

Do we react like universes? And

Experience ourselves ironically?

She sleeps -- she's peaceful now -- on soft white sand;

The ocean of her eyes starts looking starry.

But I am drowning. Just 'cause I'm supposed

To scream, I am, and looking for a lifeboat,

But truth be told, I'm not all that opposed

To jumping ship and hoping that I float.

It'd be a pretty view. That makes sense, I guess:

She's oceans, forests, mountains, all the valleys --

Phenomenons I still try to undress;

But, still, her forests hold some damn tall trees.

While she sleeps on the sand, I'll sink and sleep

With fish; after all, the ocean runs deep.
