Dreadfully Truthful

We are not exposed to reality until we meet Light.

We’ve only met Darkness and he was twisted, but our comfortability kept us yearning for his touch... his embrace.

He kept us locked in chains but bliss crept through our veins when he spoke like ice cold water swam down our throats on a summer day...

We were prisoners to him.

And though Light wasn’t beautiful, she was daring and bright.

We feared her unpleasant mien.

We wept when we were blinded her sun rays.

Darkness tried to shield our eyes but he was too late.

...We had met her.

Darkness was ignorance

and Light was truth.

She pursued us and the first words she spoke were “The power to learn is present in everyone's soul...”
