Discrimination and Bullying

Location

Walking through the halls trying to hide your face,

Feeling like you’re way out of place.

When fag and motherfucker are bandied about like money,

No one cares if you don’t think it’s funny.

When the popular kids look down at you,

And the troublemakers think you’re not cool.

There are so few you can rely on,

And everyone else thinks you’re withdrawn.

The adults walk by not even acknowledging the slight,

No one would know the reason you wanted to fight.

Just trying to get through the day,

Acting as if everything is okay.

Jew, Slut, and Bitch are just regular words.

Some just smile and think they’re awards.

The rest just shut their mouths because there’s nothing to do,

It’s almost as if it’s out of the adult’s field of view.

Apparently it’s just a part of life,

Despite all the pain, despite all the strife.

The only way to avoid the hurt,

Is to give it right back, just as overt.
