Death By a Generation

Location

A noose of ignorance and gallows of derogation set up for the distinct,
The blaze of the stares just as severing as if it been the blade of an ax.
Gagged by the silence, and hands bound by injustice,
the only outcome being entrapment into helplessness.
Every capsule filled with memories, time-stamped with tears,
every blow to the ego shot right through their heart.
They were hung for being human, and tried by a jury of peers.
The price of case was the rest of their precious years.

We need not watch, nor bystand,
a broken heart with an empty hand.
Guilty be charged those nonchalant,
rehabilitate and reconstruct the society that condemns.
For a youth to cry and no one care,
shows a world where change needs there.
