Dear Moonlight

Dear Moonlight,

The way you glow through the blinds in the night.

It makes me feel like you waited for me.

Kissing my forehead to help me go to sleep in my bed.

Making me yawn and rub my tired eyes.

Are you asking me to stop worrying and let my mind and body rest?

Are you trusting me to let things go?

I look at the sky before dreaming. The sky is dark blue with bright diamonds.

It is not a secret as we know this well and trust each other with it.

If it was not for you, I could stay awake forever.

But I am calm.

I want water.
