Dear Daddy

Hi daddy.
Remember this morning when you left for work
You promised to come play with me when you got home.
I set up the teacups and food for us with mommy
Oh! And I made the tea that’s actually water all on my own.
Are you proud of me?
I made sure to get the camera out.
That way we can take pictures of each other when we dress up.
I remember last week you wore your yellow work coat while we played.
I would rather you play in your king outfit like on monday.
That was really funny. I liked that.
We had a lot of fun on monday.
But then you had to go to work today.
And that made me sad. So come home fast for me okay?
Also daddy,
When you come home, can you help mommy?
She’s sitting on the floor crying.
I think she watched a sad story on the T.V.
I watched it with her too this morning.
It had a plane and a building on it.
It looked like there was a lot of fire.
I could hear your truck in the background though.
It was making its siren noise that’s way to loud.
The guy talking on the screen sounded scared.
Like on halloween when I get scared of the clowns.
I remember when they scared me on purpose one time,
So you came back from work in your big red truck.
You scared the scary people away.
And that made me happy.
But mommy’s sad right now,
And that makes me sad right now.
So daddy,
Please come home fast.
I’ll wait for you on the porch for you to come home
I always do that.
I’ll always make sure to run up to you and hug you.
That way I’ll be with you as much as I can.
And then we can go cuddle on the couch and read a book
Or maybe eat the yummy food mommy and I made
But I’ll see you on the porch okay?
You’re not here yet daddy, but I know you’ll be here.
You’re always here, so I’ll sit here.
And I’ll be waiting for you daddy.
I’ll always wait.
