Dear Chrysanthemum

P.O.Box KD 509

You are a child's entertainment.

You are my entertainment.

They scoff at your gaudy colours,

They play you off as too innocent

for their rebellious excursions.

But I am here

waiting with you

on this desert island

of which no one will discover.

Twain says to catch the trade winds

in our sails.

I've chosen you, my

dear Chrysanthemum.

Come along with me

so we can find

a sail.
