Dark to Light
In my earliest day
Blameless and innocent
In this deep valley of torturous dismay
Thunder constantly striking
Then the later days
Murderous apprehension building inside of me
Towards one that I should love
A spiritual essence brought me to a halt
Showed me forgiveness and to soar like a dove
From death to life
Pain was in pursuit
This Holy being working inside
Also working in my father.
Who knew of this forgiveness?
With power like no other
We transformed
And fled from that grave.
