shadows fading swirling pulling tugging

taking me into a world that ill never control

"it's dangerous" they whisper

what living?

is it dangerous because I'm different

is it dangerous because THEY hate me

is it dangerous because I don't fit in the perfect puzzle

is it dangerous because I go against what they believed to be "natural"

so what my hair is short, so what I don't were makeup,

so what I wear men's clothes, so what I date girls and guys

so who cares that I identify as both

it's my life, my PRIVATE life at that

no one else's I am not a criminal I have hurt no one

but I guess myself the way this is going exposed to such copious hate

This poem is about:
My community
My country
Our world
