Dance Queen

The whole room shook as the music took over

as the figure got up on the stage

and let the music take her body under.

She danced in a way,

that intoxicated all

as she flipped her head,

letting her hair fly

swaying her hips,

shaking everywhere

looking like a beautiful possessed woman

taking over the attention span.

The shouting increased with the flowing noise

as the music sped up so did she move

faster and faster,

as she swayed and loose

herself in the rhythm,

the comfort that she sought

how the folds of the screams

made the universe just stop

for a second she was worth it

for a second she was sure

for a second she knew,

that life was worth living for

Afterwards they swore they saw

that beautiful girl crying,

while she danced her last dance

on the battle field she was fighting.
