A rare species

So hard to find

Someone to stick up

for themselves

and others

ones with courage

have gone

replaced by

hungry animals

looking for a place higher up

in the food chain

social status ate us

there is no courage

there is status

that no one wants to risk

And they won`t

for the sake of anybody

keep your bullies as friends

your enemy must be your closest confidant

unless courage exists

in more ways than going into battle

as long as courage makes you stand up

all hope is not lost

the rare species

of courageous humans

still exists

still thrives
