Continuum

Location

Green, lush flora, flowing, swirling 'round.
Such beauty remains unaffected y man,
If only it was left to itself.
Earth will continue post-humankind,
Lacking our catastrophic disturbance.

The sun will rise and the sun will set, just as it did before,
Though human eyes won't always absorb the luminescent rays.
Nor will warm skin still bask in the warm, soothing light
     for all eternity.
We men need the Earth, but it is bound to continue in spite
     of us.
We are but inhabitants in a grand hotel.

For when I move on and decay away,
New life will flourish over my grave.
I will continue thriving in these flowers,
And that in itself is fulfilling, consummate eternity.
