color (2/20/20)
fluffy flakes flutter and weave a blanket of white
as the butterflies in my stomach
flap their technicolor wings.
but the only color i feel
is a deep, melancholy blue
that seems to creep into my heart
when i'm missing you.
all i want is to lock eyes with you again
so i can remember what it feels like
when our bodies radiate
a vivid, passionate red.
