College

Senior year is magical

Filled with memories and radical

Ideas on who we are supposed to be

Alive and free

We say is what matters most

Our actions boast

Young age

New intelligence

However, while we complain

About the pain

Of being treated like children

We desire to evade the burden

Which defines adulthood

We pretend to brood

Over important speculations

When in actuality

We struggle to find the mentality

To leave everyone

To leave everything

To go where we know nothing

Without the people

We’ve learned to love

Without the people

We’ve cared about for years

Without the people

We’ve leaned on through struggles.
