Circus

“It's so much fun! It's so much fun!”
Said the deliriously happy red and white stripes, gliding up and down the flaps of the grand tent
“It’s so much fun! It's so much fun!”
Said the gleeful faces of the heedless audiences, smiling lips baring rows of tangerine teeth
“It's so much fun! It's so much fun!”
Said the permanent smile on the face like an ceramic vase of a clown
“It's so much fun! It's so much fun!”
Said the feigned ecstasy of the high-strung acrobats
“It’s so much fun! It's so much fun!”
Said the matted and manes of the mangy lions humorously balancing on gaudy, unwashed balloon balls.
Welcome to the circus
Where everything is so fun, happy, and lonely…
