The Circle of Life

Location

A gaping hole so void,

and yet prominent.

It's shell so spherical,

as it wraps about its brittle self,

in an unctuous curvature.

A ring containing a nearly inconceivable number of atoms

...possibly even galaxies within its entity.

So smooth,

so impossibly circular,

and so doughy at the same time.

My mom always told me to never play with my food,

so I take a bite of my bagel.
