For morning’s breakfast I prepare a snack
Of half a poppy covered bagel, so
I can survive the day. And then, I lack
The most important part: cream cheese, oh no!
Tick Tock... off goes my clock
Wake up, send a text....want to get a bagel?
Tick, tock...text me back already,
Yes, but your're paying.
i am a tortured dustball
sitting on the kitchen floor
polishing a bagel
with a veneer of peanut butter.
slim, competent,
crusty
and grumbling at Iggy the Fish -
A gaping hole so void,
and yet prominent.
It's shell so spherical,
as it wraps about its brittle self,
in an unctuous curvature.
A ring containing a nearly inconceivable number of atoms
