cigarette smoke and honesty
Location
as i look deep i see myself
coalescing into a human being.
tell me no holds barred
and i will spit until i am speaking;
speaking to an empty room
with my hands tied between my throat and my tongue.
push your fingers through my teeth
and empty my lips of soliloquys
monologues and monotony.
wrap me in your stained sheets
and call me a ghost;
notice my nuances and subtleties.
whisper in my ear that i am living;
remind me of my breath
and render me guilty for it.
cast phonetics to the wind
and leave me babbling vowels.
i could be as an orchid:
delicate and fragile, but i am harsh
as cigarette smoke and honesty.
