Choice

Hearts hold the wheel

Driving lanes within mortals insane

That is when I found you

I chose to hold you

I chose to love you

I watered you

I found seeds in your craving for affection

I gave them so nourishingly

I heard War’s chants and got intoxicated by victory’s erupting chords.

However, you did not tell me

Down the past path, you cracked

The vial of these waters you did not hold

I questioned torrent with my heart you have stolen

I became guilty of each current of my will and choice you looted

I was losing it

I chose to hold you still

I chose to love you still

I watered you still.
