A Change of Me

A Change of Me

As I pace back and forth in an empty room

where once was never empty and always full.

I remember the days where I was blind and “happy”

I was lost and mistaken and I look back so sadly.

For I had a “love” that was forever fake

in college mistaken and he kept making mistakes.

I was lost in myself, and I was stuck in a hell

where I used and torn and shaken upside down.

I finally realized my worth and importance

and left without turning back, never again stuck in a corner.

I am different now, a greater change

I am happy with who I am and living a better way.

The past year was rocky and difficult you see,

But I am glad I had ‘A Change of Me’.
