Broken Promise

Looking at your hollow eyes,

Its not a surprise that you lied.

Your promise to never hurt me,

Well that fell through,

Cause I believed it,

And became the victim to you.

I thought you'd be different,

That you'd be alright.

That you weren't judgementle

That you'd be a part of my life.

When you said, "I promise

We will make through.

We'll stick together,

Its just me and you."

I guess I was wrong,

So here I face

What empty words I once embraced.

No tears I will shed,

No words will be said,

But I will remember that you're  disgraced.

So a piece of advice to all,

A promise can be your fall,

So be careful who you trust,

If not only your self,

For a broken promise can make life hell.
