Brandy

Don't you remember when grandma took that picture
The one with our cousin steph?
Don't you remember all the good times we had
Together before you left

You left without asking
Leaving a note for our closure
The tears still well up in our eyes
When we think about that exposure

You exposed us to a sadness
A darkness, we couldn't place a name
But you shined a bright light
A blessing in the same

Oh. Brandy how we miss you
Your laughter in the air
You ended life too quickly
But we know it must be better up there.
