Can't you see what's right in front of you?
The broken tragedy you so eagerly ignore,
Are you so blind to see what is so clear to me?
Or do you just wish not to notice?
Is it too heart wrenching, or difficult?
Can you not stand the searing pain?
My presence is now a shadow,
Silent and hardly tangible.
I feel you see right thru me
Or is it you can't see me at all?
I've tried so hard to blend in,
So hard its made me fall.
I am at the sidelines,
While you are in the game,
I am tired of waiting,
But it is myself who I should blame.
I've been so afraid of attention,
So intimidated by the spotlight.
While you glow in it,
And hardly see me at all.
I fear I am too late,
Always the right place at the wrong time,
All I have is a dream I can hardly grasp,
One you so firmly hold on to.
How is it we are so different,
Yet one in the same?
You’re the other piece of my puzzle,
One who's found someone else to complete.
You still drive me insane,
I still call your name,
Pretend it’s nothing but a game.
And you go on the same.
