Beauty

Beauty Lies Within

At least that's what they told me.

"It doesn't matter how you look

As long as you got a good personality."

In this new day and age,

It seems as if Beauty is just

A fragment of our lives thrown together

To make people seem like less of themselves

Make them self-conscious

Lipstick, foundation, highlights now everyday words,

Listed as normal vocabulary for

Highschool girls

And if you don't have the glamorus hourglass figure,

You better save up for

Plastic surgery

You see, there used to be a time where no one cared

About how they looked, or who they were

Impressing

But now it seems as if having Beauty beats over

Someone having a

Kind personality

Maybe someday this madness will come to an end.

And Being Beautiful on the Inside Will Count Just as Much As Out.
