Beast Disguised by Beauty

Hands or claws?

Fangs or teeth?

Fur or skin?

The broken dishes

The broken chair

The broken girl

The broken home

Shakingly removing the weight from her left hand

Realizing the danger

His animalistic tendencies ravaging her mind, her soul.

The beautiful boy, his deep blue eyes darkened by his greed, his hate

Integrity a lost virtue

Replaced with destruction

Chivalry dead along with affection.

The abuse, the utter disrespect haunts her.

Her tearstained cheeks bearing the bruises,

The badges of his love.

For she was not Beauty

Nor he her Beast

Beauty's beast, a man in beast's trappings.

Scarier by far is a beast in the trappings of a man.
