Like a  woman who

has never seen the light

I realized something bright

walking with my sister today

when I listen to the news

I have more to say

I have more to think about

the impetus has reared its head

social awareness

really has  me on edge.

It makes me study harder

read between the lines

I figure it out in  my  mind

soft spoken

In a class where I just pass the time

thinking to myself what a waste of time

but I realize it’s worth the money

when the diploma is my hand it’ll be sweet as honey

a maslin of problems

my education blooms

it introduces me to things that I never knew

on the tip of graduation with a mind of gold

They can’t take away your knowledge

I’ve always been told.
