"Anything War Can Do, Peace Can Do Better"

“Anything war can do, peace can do better.”

Then why have we been stuck in this war forever?

A war against each other, a war against ourselves.

A war against our common sense that we’ve placed upon old shelves.

A war against love,

though we say that’s what we crave.

A war against the chance that anyone will be saved.

Why has war been here since all time?

Because we live in a world that lives to say “All Mine!”

Because people don’t see that “Mine” is “Yours”.

That “Yours”, is “His” and “Hers” and “Ours”.

Because I see “You”, and I see “Me”.

But I don’t see “Us”.

I don’t see “We”.

I see something that I don’t have, and you do.

Something I want, but you don’t want to lose.

But in this world, there is no “Me” and “You”.

There is no “Us” and love.

There is no peace, nor doves.

There is just me.

There is just war.
