America

Oh, can you see?

The protestors in the early light

So proudly we march

To regain our stolen rights

Rainbow stripes and loud cries

Break the silence of the day

Throughout the world we marched

“Give back our rights!” we did say

As we burn through our fuels

The Earth’s temperatures rise

And gave proof that Bill Nye

Does not share climate lies

O say, is this the America we want?

Is this the America we need?

Do not stop the fight

Continue until we are freed

This poem is about:
My country
Our world
