Alone

Who knows me better than the Earth?
The rain pours down to where I perch
This feeling, being all alone
Think to myself, "What am I worth?"

A smile forms upon my face
It is the raindrops that I chase
The clouds and water fill my soul
I realize that it's not a race

Puddles, they gather on the ground
This rain is all I see around
Feel so joyful in this moment
Happiness is all I have found

Beside myself nobody sits
Onto the concrete this rain hits
I'm happy here, me and the rain
Emotion is not counterfeit
