All I Ask

Location

They expect so much out of you

And you wonder if they see you breaking

Like how you parents do

when they see you

when they walk past your room at night

there's a little creak of light

thats coming from your door

and youre laying in your bed holding on so tight

to this sanity that is no more

 you're exhausted you really are

and now you're sobbing in you're car

the tears are coming down faster than before

you're friends stare at you like they don't know you anymore

and all you can think of is how much of a failure you are

And you ask yourself, "I wonder if they how it got this far?"

How it got to this point

Because it's not just a B on a test

It's not just my supposed friends calling me a whore

You said this time of my life was supposed to be the best

But then you say it's all riding on these tests

And that project, and this quiz, and don't forget the homework

I'm begging for a rest

from this everday life that is an absolute mess

I simply can not get a grip

On this awful trip to hell

That has been my highschool experince

And all I can do is look at you

Yes, you the teacher that is supposed to guide me, lead me, and teach me

All I ask is this

Do you have a clue?

Do you have a clue what you're putting me through?
