‘cranium stock car’
i walk amongst an ocean of stars in a world of shadow.
touch the reflection, obsessive perfection.
the uncertainties of my mind permeate my very step,
a constellation of faces in unfamiliar places.
antiquated notes evaporate electric symphonies
block out the quiet, public silence is a social riot.
no nightly pitstop for the cranium stock car,
the tension’s pinballing, the morale slowly falling.
it’s sardines in a tin can, barrel down first & main.
kill the demons, find your own reason.
what time is it? do i even eat now?
the shadows surround me, never astounding.
