Speed of Light

A rush and it's over

Cars flash by, lights blink shut

Candles flicker, sound crashes along

And my head whirls with

The Speed of Light

A world that never stops moving

Never sits and thinks

About what it's missing

Instead we run

Towards something, away from someone

As fast as

The Speed of Light

I wonder why, how, when

But those questions can't be answered

We're back in the cycle again

Work becomes a blur

That fogs reality, clouds importance

Yet we go on because we know

Of nothing else but to go

The Speed of Light
