Ladders and Gravity
If my emotions traveled up a ladder,
Then my feet would be debate
Biting and electrifying against
the wooden rungs as I fight to emancipate
from the acceleration of Gravity, now commenced.
But 9.8 m/s sqared later
I'm calling my hands-
Harry P. and the Pevensies-together.
"For Hogwarts!" , "For Aslan!" we're taking our stand,
moving to the beat of John William's band.
His acoustics flow through my ears
crescendoing as I expand to the music
of victorious scores.
And before I fly,
I hear the clatter of the latter
as only it sucumbs to gravity, once its ally.
