When Will You Appreciate Yourself?

Mon, 07/14/2014 - 20:00 -- k_mjcm

Darling, when did the blurry claims manipulated you
to focus on distorted idea of perfection?
You started noticing the smallest flaws
and forgot to distance yourself to see whole you.
“Images in the mirror are smaller than they appear”
Yes, you let your true worth slip.

Darling, when did the bitter remarks
started to feel like thrown rocks?
You began blaming your body.
your genetic, intake, and lifestyle.
You blamed it all, but the negativity.

Until when do you have to drown in tears
to realize that being thin, fat, scrawny, buff
short, tall, pale, or dark is definitely fine.
Except the irrationality that shaped your mind.

When will you appreciate yourself?
