No matter what

When we are young

we have silly thoughts swirling and slamming against the edges

of a mind that is shaking just to be heard

I hear about adults in positions that are just not positive and

I don't want to be there

When we are young

we dream of becoming princesses and princes

and we live happily ever after in a castle

I hear about super heroes and saving lives while thats all good

I don't want to be there

When I was young

I had the same dream where I see myself solving mysteries

maybe a detective with an elective so I am not bored

I hear it approaching this dream is getting bigger

I think I want to be there

While I am still young

I have a plan to proceed with my dream

I am becoming what I always wished to be

I hear sometimes people don't make it and this dream is getting bigger

I think I want to be there

While I am still young

I know my plan and I know how to proceed

I will become what I always wished to be

I know I am going to make it no matter what stands in my way

I am going to be there, someday.
