Gay rights are human rights

they all stare at me, looking me up and down, side to side
they snicker and gossip amongst themselves
they do not know me, they do not know what i've been through
they call me names and try to get a reaction out of me
what they don't know is that i simply do not care
those who accept me know who i truly am
those who know me do not judge me by my sexual preference
they judge me by the choices i make and the things i say
sexuality is as wide as the sea
you need to be who you want to be
