Because he knows how to count, spell, and play.

The purple dinosaur can laugh and sing,

Dancing in candy land without worry.

He plays pretend and becomes a fair king;

He does not have a reason to hurry.

But life is not actually flawless

And it is a harsh mistress with a frown.

She knows that the dinosaur is lawless,

Thus taking away the dinosaur's crown.

If people do not learn reality,

The dinosaur will steal morality.
