The Shower

Her dreams are coming true,

So long she has waited,

She never imagined the things she had so longed for would be given unto her,

She has always been a dreamer,

She thought these dreams were just like the others;

Memories long gone, People who would never come, Things she would have never done,

She imagines what is coming,

She sees it so clearly in her mind,

She bursts into tears,

Sheer joy has come over her,

Is this for real? Is this a fluke?

No, it is real.

She gasps for breath as she feels a newness coming over her,

Her eyes open wide as she understands what is to come,

She takes a deep breath,

She feels: excitement, peace, joy, hope, thankfulness… So many feelings at one time.

She is bewildered,

It is too good to be true,

But that is what makes it so special,

Her dreams coming true.
