I, too, sing America.
I am determined.
They say I don’t have common sense
They don’t think I can manage myself.
But I know what I am capable of,
What makes me feel good is the pathway to success. To apply for college and apply yourself to aquire knowledge, are the things that make me bounce. When blues begin to come, all I think about is what's to come.
I had always felt like I was failing
In school, in work, and in life too.
It turned out I was the one curtailing
Myself in what I wanted to pursue.
I look upon myself today
And see how far I've come.
I am the scars my parents put on me as a child. From the abuse mentally and physically. Little did they know they scarred me sociologically too.
The American Dream man I just want to be a successful man I'm finally learning
how to leave every negative energy and choosing the path of righteousness. I
