The little girl is the target
Swing and throw until she falls down
Go to the lake and try to drown

Looking over my shoulder every hour
I coward into paper
Unto them, my greatest fears
Seeing a face I haven't seen in a long time
Maybe, it's just my mind
It started with you forcing down my face
Into the pillow, into the suffocating dark
I was sleeping soundly, nothing to fear
Now I ask where was God?
Was it me you hated?
Or are you, were you just evil?
Don't fall in love with me,
Out here in the rain
When we kiss and listen to the storm,
I know you're close,
When I reached for the stars I was reaching for your eyes,
I've always wondered what goes on in other people's minds
I've always wondered where life is going to take me
I've always wanted to know why everything happens for a reason
