Dear Mom, why do you hate me? Is it because of secrets that have come out lately?  That I do not love the same way you do,  Or do not follow religion as if by voodoo?
The Life of a College Student   Hey Mom,   I am writing you from college. You know, I came book smart, but when it comes to household chores I just don’t have that much knowledge.
Dear Mom, I’m sorry I’m not who you want me to be, I’m sorry I’m not perfect, Not even a little bit, or even at all, I am loud and, clumsy and, messy, I make a lot of mistakes,
I almost told you the other day. About 4 times to be exact. It was on the tip of my tongue but for some reason, my teeth grit and pushed it back into my throat each and every time.

My mother gave me a CD of Selena. i left the apartment and moved to the city expecting to her her songs, so I popped the CD in and found her fans instead, Es lo queme hablaba-
I don’t go to church anymore, there’s no sleep for the restless. I spend my days with a crooked wishbone, the meat still sticking to it, and our shed smells like the gasoline that burned out of me years ago.
