Isn't it funny how something that you start doing just for fun ends up being the thing that saves your life?
That it is the only thing that can help pull you through when the rest of the world is cutting you like a knife.
As the seasons collide,
The persistence grows,
The uncontested eagle flies,
The adversity merely shows.
From start to finish, the flag is raised,
Time is of the essences,
Like a caterpillar, I snuggle
Into three warm layers. I’ve
Built my cocoon, shield from
The elements for a few sweet hours;
In my simple sarcophagus,
Only nightmares can catch me now.
Fighter
Put on those gloves and I feel the power surge.
I feel the lightning in my veins.
I hear the thunder in my heart.
I become stronger with every drop of sweat.
I become faster with every breath.
