This person is a face at bedtime.
This person is your show at screen time.
This person is the light you never knew you needed.
When you don’t know what to do,
They will show you.
There for me when I need them most
A person that is O so close,
Timely with every and anything that they do,
A beacon of light showing my dreams coming true.
Role Models, Role Models
We all have one.
Tiny little dandelion
Time for it to grow
A million dreams launch into the air
With just a single blow
A gentle breeze starts to stir
In the leaves of the family nearby
A mentor, a friend,
Family to the end.
An aunt who comprehends
And is with you until the end.
Thank you for you;
And for your support
We may have struggled in the past,
Thank you for driving me crazy
Thank you for running around
Thank you for your forgetfulness
Thank you for your meltdown
Thank you for your blanket forts
Thank you for your building blocks
I’ve got - two loving mothers Who i’m sure - passively still love eachotherWho both supported me through panic attacks and shaking shuddersWho did their best to hold me near when I was paralysed with fear. But damn!
The Darkest Clouds don't just fill the sky,
Clouds fill the heads of weak minded children,
But like insects, they dig far, remaining hidden,
They say its fake joking slyly,
I read because it teaches me to love,
To care, to dream
To be adventurous
It helped me to find who I truly am inside,
To detemine who my real friends were
And to find my inner strengths.
I remember the day you left
The moving van pulling out of the drive
Leaving me by myself
Leaving me to fight for myself
For so long it had been ma and you against the world
They are the ones
They pick us up when we fall down
They have the shadows which guide us
They have the strong shoulders that carry us
They have the bright minds that inspire us
When we need something,
I used to know a girl
sad and bare was she
she cried all the time
and never thought
about the bright side
Hope had abandoned her
her spirit destroyed her
she never knew what to do
Speaking for others has never been my style, but I promise you this will be worth your while.
