Fire, but a simple flame, kindles in the night.
Slowly, it consumes the trees like waves of the ocean.
It breaks the bonds that create them, that make them whole.

As a passion burns right through the soul,
Wood turns to embers that glow with the last,
Only to leave the broken compounds of its atoms behind.
I woke one day to a wonderful surprise,
I found all the humans and their creations to be gone.
I do not know what brought on their demise,
But I canter with pride, for we will live long.
This world is sublime
