My skin is smooth fearfully and wonderfully made by God
From the top of my head to the soles of my feet I am vibrant
I am drenched in caramel my skin glows against the beam of sunlight
In school we were taught
That America is Freedom
And justice is for all.
We learned the First Amendment
The founding fathers listed
My heart goes out to those
Who have loved and who have lost
To the ones who did nothing
And yet still paid the cost
The cost for what, their
So just because I am an African American male, you think I contribute to this violence?
I don’t promote this foolishness.
