March on Washington

August 23rd, 1963
Sweat dripping on the late summer afternoon
250,000 people of all color
United, as one
Witnessing the new beginning
Walking together
Without facebook,
and internet
Roses are Red Violets are blue Martain Luther King lead a march on Washington and changed civil rights forever and so can you.
Behold an August day
a flock of black ravens
flew their way
to freedom.
What else is in the air?
A flock of white falcons
flying in pairs
with the ravens.
Now I walk
History for a Dream
Now I walk
Forever as it seems
Separate but Equal,
The lie made for peace
Cannot bring justice,
As long as its on lease.
