​​Yesterday Today I am remembering Emmett Till, I can't forget about him Today we're reliving what happened so long ago We are losing so many souls
I was a kid with composure Experienced a lot yet, Never saw full closure You see… My life was reversed Like a turnover By a curse I thought hell would burn over, Before I reached peace
Black Alice in the Matrix of Wonderland " see life from a different perspective Where critical thinking is encouraged And openmindness is second nature Be Alice for a day See past the idiot box you're tuned to
Strip me of my pride, all the lies been synthesize, been over looked,  i been tooked, repromised of my pride. Done in the dark comes to light and a thousand black women march in pain, hoping not to go in vein, 
Insomnia. The result of my overbearing thoughts of a past I can’t change, of a future I’m terribly unsure of. Most nights I barely sleep, some nights not at all. However, I suppose this is what comes of one whose thoughts consume their soul.
Can you feel it? Can you feel that Change? I can feel it blowing our way. Can you see it? Can you see this new day?  I can hear it calling our name.   Change is coming down. Change is coming now.
In a world of black and white, be the shades of grey. They bring value to each day.   In a world of broken dreams, be the shining star. You can reminds each boy and girl,
Steps echo against a darkness Whispers of souls lost too Raising my head towards destiny Feeling the sensation of gratification The flames overtake this body For now I am free Now I can be
Not alive 'till now.  This is my coming-of-age.  Taking my first step.
